What a refreshing week we have had! We actually took a whole week off for spring break. Since we usually only have a 4 day school week, we don't take time off in the spring. We take 2 weeks off in December and also the whole month of July. This has been a nice break......I only wish the weather had been better. Today is cloudy and dreary. The weathermen are predicting a warmer weekend but I won't hold my breath for that. Yummy, just took my No Pudge brownies out of the oven and I can smell my broccoli soup cooking in the crockpot. Off to a gardening workshop tomorrow--by MYSELF--and just maybe it will be dry enough to till up my veggie garden soon.
I have been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking before softball/baseball season kicks in but I haven't been very successful. I guess too much Top Chef and Survivor and too little craft work. I love these pictures of Andrew. He looks so innocent but watch out Gingerbread man!! Similar events happened with our gingerbread house for Christmas and more recently, we found a bunny with a missing head next to our Easter gingerbread house.
Hannah, my 13 year old cat, was diagnosed with cancer late last year. We decided against surgery and brought her home, hoping to let her live her last days in peace. On April 1st, the kids said their goodbyes and I took her to be euthanized. She was a great cat who loved attention. In her early days, she loved playing fetch with a wadded up piece of paper. Every night, you could find her curled up, sleeping on Emma's feet. We will miss you Hannah.
